Super Elastic Bubble Plastic
I don't know what this was made of but it was nasty. I've never forgotten it because it was such a ridiculous rip off AND because blowing on that straw with that goop attached to it was so disgusting. I would be interested in knowing whether or not it is even deemed safe by today's standards. I distinctly remember feeling as though I was ingesting gasoline or cleaning fluid when I put my mouth on that straw. Blech. It was so gross but it was a mainstay of all toy aisles when I was a kid.
