When Pop Merchandise Was Ultra Cool
My mom and I have always loved the special promotional items that the various pop companies have marketed over the years. We had all of these glasses at one time or another. I loved to drink out of them. The large 7-UP goblet was pretty bulky and uncomfortable but I was a kid so I was willing to tolerate "uncomfortable" for "yeah but I'm drinking 7-UP out of a speacial 7-UP glass". LOL
We didn't own any of the clocks but they are part of my memories because clocks like these always hung in the places we frequented. My mom and I have always been "let's go sit down and drink a pop" shoppers. We never shop without taking pop breaks, even today. So these clocks bring back a multitude of sweet memories of my mom and me hanging out together and discussing life over an ice cold cup of coke (for her) and whatever I was in the mood for because I pretty much love them all!
