Historic Buildings In Town
According to that which I have read online, this was once a very famous and popular theater wherein folks came from all around to see great live entertainment. By the time I was born, the theater had long closed and the building was bought and inhabited by the Church of Christ. We weren't members of the Church of Christ (thank goodness) but my brother's first wife was so they were married there. It was torn down sometime after I moved away to college in spite of the fact that many of the older townfolk desperately wanted it to be preserved and renovated. The FBC in our town is a lot like the "church" of scientology in that they'll destroy anyone and anything, no matter the cost, in order to get that which they want. It isn't a church. It's more like, the Baptist mafia. But don't get me started on THAT!
