Hi-Ho Cherry-O
This is the first game that my friend Lynn and I ever played together. A teen neighbor brought her over to my house to introduce us because Lynn had just moved in and didn't know anyone. We were just a year apart in age and we hit it off immediately. Within 10 minutes of that first meeting, we were laughing over a rousing game of Hi Ho Cherry-O. That game lead to a close friendship that lasted well into our high school years. Eventually we chose differing paths in life but we still stay in touch periodically today via our moms. We'll always be a part of one another's life because of all of the time we spent together as kids.
Coincidentally, during the time that Lynn and I were close friends, Bernie and her oldest brother Wayne were also best friends. I don't know why but I always thought that was cool. Bernie and I were often at their house at the same time and they were often at our house at the same time. It was sort of like we just merged our families. For a time, it was very nice.
