Crayons
I can't find a pic of the exact crayons we first had in elementary school. They were Crayola brand just like these and there were only 8 in the pack but they were much bigger than regular-sized crayons, and they were flat on one side. The brown one always, always made me hungry for chocolate. lol
Somewhere around 2nd or 3rd grade, we were allowed to graduate to bigger boxes of crayons and I remember being very happy about that.
For no reason other than we happened to go to the store near or on the day that they arrived, I was the first in my class to get the new 64 box of Crayola crayons. None of us had ever seen so many colors in one box and we also had never seen a box that included a built-in sharpener. The day I walked into Mrs. Frew's classroom with this little treasure, I was instantaneously elevated to rockstar status. lol In elementary school, you can never underestimate the social-influencing powers of the right art supplies.
